I had my 36 week check up yesterday. Apparently my body and baby have begun birthing preparations. Baby has dropped and is ready to come out. No, I am not currently in labor, but my doctor did say that given the position of the baby and a couple other factors that baby could come whenever. There is nothing to indicate an early birth (we are still about 4 weeks out give or take a couple of days), but it’s not out of the question either. Needless to say the hospital bags were finished last night and are now in the car along with a pillow and my nursing pillow, so come time we are ready. For now we wait, which I am not good at. However, it does feel good to know that we are nearing the end and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I recently discovered that they are making baby toys for the different characters in the popular Eric Carle books. Probably the most popular book everyone is familiar with is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Well, I found this super cute elephant and could not resist! He goes with the book Do You Want To Be My Friend?. I am going to have to get all the books for baby and probably the toys to go along with them.

We also had a surprise package arrive in the mail yesterday. My super talented sister-in-law, Lindsey, made a baby quilt for baby girl! I love it! Absolutely beautiful! I cannot wait to take a picture of baby on the quilt!

Here’s a picture of one of the baby horses at the ranch/stables near our house. He’s so cute and I just had to take a picture of him the other day after work. Hubby was nice enough to pull over on the way home to let me snap a couple of pictures!
